• Name:

LangeTwins 2025 Picpoul Blanc - River Ranch Vineyard

  • Tasting Notes:

The 2025 Picpoul Blanc opens with vibrant aromatics of tropical melon and fresh guava layered with crisp green apple, hints of citrus blossom, and subtle river rock minerality. On the palate, warm notes of ripe pear and honeydew unfold alongside touches of mango, lemon balm, and bright lime zest. A streak of green apple and clean minerality carry through to a lively, refreshing finish.

  • Growing Conditions:

The 2025 growing season unfolded at a calm, even pace, allowing fruit to ripen slowly and intentionally across our vineyards. Cool spring conditions followed by a mild summer led to gradual sugar development and extended hang time for both red and white varieties. This measured progression allowed flavors, color, and tannins to develop in balance with sugars, giving us confidence and flexibility at harvest. Harvest ended abruptly with an early Fall rainstorm October 13th, which proved to be the coup-de-grace to a challenging but rewarding winegrape harvest in California. As the wines continue to evolve, early indicators suggest the 2025 vintage will express vibrant varietal character, fresh natural acidity, and layered depth without excess alcohol, capturing both the character of our sites and the care behind our farming decisions.

These native areas boast quail, river otter, deer, kingfisher, and beaver (just to name a few) that we often see when we are checking the six vineyard blocks, that are comprised of five unique varietals. Each varietal takes advantage of the waterways and microclimate, producing distinct wines that are truly reflective of this special place.
