• Name:

LangeTwins 2024 Sauvignon Blanc - Jahant Woods 01 Vineyard

  • Appellation:

    Jahant AVA

  • Tasting Notes:

Aromatic and lively, showing orange blossom and tropical fruit on the nose, followed by melon and Meyer lemon on the palate. Balanced by bright acidity and a silky texture, the finish is crisp and refreshing.

  • Growing Conditions:

The 2024 growing season was marked by significant climatic events that influenced vine development and fruit quality. A wet winter and early spring provided ample soil moisture, delaying bud break slightly but ensuring healthy canopy growth. Moderate temperatures in April and May allowed for an even and successful fruit set with minimal shatter and occasional spring rains helped sustain vine vigor without excessive disease pressure. An extraordinary heat wave commenced in June, with temperatures soaring in July. This intense heat temporarily stalled vine growth; however, grape skins and acidity levels remained intact, leading to a higher quality harvested compared to previous years. The heat wave also accelerated sugar accumulation in grapes, resulting in an earlier start to crush. White grape yields were smaller while red varietals produced average yields.
