• Name:

LangeTwins 2025 Gruner Veltliner - North River Vineyard

  • Tasting Notes:

The 2025 Grüner Veltliner opens with vibrant aromatics of blood orange zest, guava, and passionfruit, lifted by delicate notes of honeysuckle. On the palate, bright grapefruit and pomelo lead, layered with fresh guava and lively fruit-forward character. Crisp and clean, the finish is refreshing and precise, showcasing both energy and elegance.

  • Growing Conditions:

The 2025 growing season unfolded at a calm, even pace, allowing fruit to ripen slowly and intentionally across our vineyards. Cool spring conditions followed by a mild summer led to gradual sugar development and extended hang time for both red and white varieties. This measured progression allowed flavors, color, and tannins to develop in balance with sugars, giving us confidence and flexibility at harvest. Harvest ended abruptly with an early Fall rainstorm October 13th, which proved to be the coup-de-grace to a challenging but rewarding winegrape harvest in California. As the wines continue to evolve, early indicators suggest the 2025 vintage will express vibrant varietal character, fresh natural acidity, and layered depth without excess alcohol, capturing both the character of our sites and the care behind our farming decisions.
